Keep living there, renovate for a listing, or hand off the project

Repair and list
You renovate so retail buyers can imagine themselves inside — including buyers comparing your original systems with newer houses on the same street. That can support a higher asking price if the work is finished, shown, and accepted. It also adds holding time, selling costs, and the chance that the market does not pay for every original-system upgrade. Creative Home Partners is not a listing brokerage.
Sell as-is and stop being the construction manager
A direct purchase can reduce the weeks you spend sequencing trades on mixed-age work. The offer may sit below a successful repaired listing. Condition and age still matter; “as-is” is not a phrase that erases an original panel. Read what as-is means here.
